Days 25 through 28 - LR

Day 25 (Friday) - day off (shame on me!)

Day 26 (Saturday) - day off to preserve for soccer on Sunday

Day 27 (Sunday) - 90 mins of soccer, no sub. Ok... so maybe I ran for a total of 60 of those 90 minutes. But that's a hell of a lot of running!

Day 28 (Monday) - ridiculously exhausted from Sunday. Day off.

Not off to a good start this week - just not feeling great. Hoping to get my groove back soon!

Days 20 through 24 - LR

Day 20 (Sunday) - day off

Day 21 (Monday) - day off

Day 22 (Tuesday) - ran 3 miles on treadmill in the afternoon. The lifted weights for 1 hour in high-def class at the Y

Day 23 (Wednesday) - 1st night of soccer in awhile! Only played about 20 mins total, but went hard!

Day 24 (Thursday) - ran 1 mile on treadmill (11:45 pace) and lifted weights for 1 hour in high-def class (back and bi's)

Day 15 through 19 - LR

Day 15 (Tuesday) - did nothing, lazy day

Day 16  (Wednesday) - took another day off. Intended to run, but changed my mind. Oops.

Day 17 (Thursday, September 1st) - ran 15 mins on treadmill, trained for 1 hour with trainer. Heavy leg day. Also shoulders. Great workout.

Day 18 (Friday) - too sore to workout. Took day off.

Day 19 (Saturday) - Excellent day! Still slightly sore from Thursday, but still pushed through. Did 1 hour of upper body training with trainer, then did arc trainer for 45 mins, 2 miles, approx. 500 calories (actually it said more, but I was told those readings are not accurate). Felt really good afterwards.

Day 12, 13, & 14 - LR

Day 12 (Saturday) - Be a Fan of the Games soccer tournament... played about 50 mins of soccer total. Pretty decent workout, but ate like absolute shit all day/night. Stupid hurricane!

Day 13 (Sunday) - played approx. 70 mins of Over 30 soccer, 6 on 6, no subs. Took one water break. Excellent workout. Then went out with some of the Falcons (!!!!) to Fox & Hound and ate back all the calories I burned. Super.

Day 14 (Monday) - ran approximately 2 miles, walked approximately .75 on treadmill. Ate relatively well. Still can't kick the sweets habit - need to just stop buying them completely! Gah!

Day 10 & 11 - LR

Day 10, Wednesday - trained with personal trainer for about 45 mins, all upper body. Then did 30 mins on the resistance trainer, approx. 3 miles.

Day 11, Thursday - went to gym with friend, talked more than we worked out. Did about 25 mins total of cardio, and about 10 mins of abs. Pretty lame. I think I'm taking tomorrow off in preparation for Saturday's tournament! :)

Day 7 , 8, & 9 - LR

Day 7, Sunday - had every intention of going to soccer (since it apparently did NOT get rained out) but a fantasy football draft kept me glued to the computer. Oops.

Day 8, Monday - ran .5 mile at gym, trained with trainer for 1 hour. Wanted to do more cardio but ran out of time (had to pick Natalie up at the child watch at the Y!)

Day 9, Tuesday - ran 2.5 miles, walked about .75 miles. Both on treadmill. Felt pretty good...
wanted to run the whole way but my legs got tight so I had to back off and walk.

Day 6 - LR

Ran for 30 mins around the neighborhood... not entirely sure why, seeing as it was blazing hot when I went. But, I did it, knowing I'd be at two picnics last night and be eating crap.
Today, debating on whether or not to go to the gym, since Over 30 soccer is iffy due to weather.

Tournament next Saturday! :)

Day 4 & 5 - LR

Day 4 - total washout. Was in gym clothes, ready to go... then sat down on the couch and it was all over.

Day 5 (Friday) - made up for day 4! Ran .5 miles on treadmill, then trained with personal trainer for 1 hour. Then ran 2.52 miles on treadmill afterwards. Great day! Chinese food tonight probably undid all the hard work, but I'll get back at it this weekend!

Can't wait for Sunday soccer to start though!!!!

Day 3 and 4 - RK

Day 3- Soccer only - was able to play a pick up game prior to our scheduled game, so maybe 20 minutes total? Tolerating Day 3 of a headache. Is it coincidence that the challenge and the headache started on the same day?!? Up side of having a headache - my appetite is not good.

Day 4 - Lazy today as far as exercise goes, but working my way through the "To Do" pile. Headache finally fading. Hopefully the gym will be more appealing tomorrow!

Day 3 - LR

I was lazy today and didn't work out. (nor did I go to soccer, didn't think 9 minutes on the field was worth the effort...) I'm also still ridiculously sore from yesterday's upper body workout at the gym. I'll get back on it tomorrow!

Ran 1 mile at gym on treadmill, then trained with PT for 1 hour, did shoulders and legs today. Gonna be sore as hell tomorrow!
Ate a lot today, but generally, didn't eat poorly.

Planning to add weight lifting or circuit training next week.

Day 1 - 30 minutes of cardio at the gym. Not great, but it is definitely a start!

Any day for weighing in is fine. I stepped on the scale this morning, so if you want to weigh in on Mondays, that works for me. Or if you want to weight in before the weekend, that is fine too!

Weighing In

I think we should pick one day a week as our "weigh in" day. I am guilty of hopping on the scale whenever I walk by it at the gym, but I have to stop... so let's pick a day and that will be it!

Day 1 - LR

I started on Sunday, August 14th... I went to the gym and ran a mile on the treadmill (approximately 13 minutes). Then I went to my Over 30 women's soccer league and played for approximately 90 minutes.
I ate relatively well throughout the day.
Struggles for the day: I definitely didn't drink enough water, have to work on that!
